World of Bracius -- Journey to the south
Laurus is the great invention of Allish Sulaya – a ‘self sustaining’ floating city where the wealthiest slaveowners in the city of Cyrodil live. The city is entirely maintained by slaves controlled by collars which—if they misbehave—will kill them. In many ways, Laurus functions as a status symbol, since Cyrodillian slaveowners must own property here in order to properly maintain their status and supply in Cyrodil.
Laurus has three ‘rings’ each of which contains different buildings and persons. The outermost ring has shops and service stations run entirely by slaves [thus everything provided in these locations is free] while the middle ring contains the homes of the slaveowners and their families. Small shops exist here which sell small trinkets.
The innermost ring contains a large mansion which Allish Sulaya lives in, and occasionally holds parties within.
However, Laurus was recently changed, quite radically, by a group of individuals likely affiliated with the Men of Silvernight. It’s unclear what’s happened, but there’s been a visible change in management, and many slaves have been freed. Slaveowners continue living there, and it remains the status symbol it was before, but many have become wary of the city itself, and nothing has been heard from Sulaya in quite some time…
